Sewing Workshops
At Johnnyland Studio, Northern Rivers NSW
Learn to sew our simple yet beautiful pieces using the patterns and sewing methods I have developed over the years. These workshops are designed for all sorts of sewing levels with no experience needed. You’ll be guided step by step through creating your garment and leave with a sewing pattern so you can remake it at home again and again.
The Details
In these workshops you'll learn how to construct the garment, the basics of sewing (if you’re new) and practical tips for sewing with or without an overlocker. You’ll leave with a finished product, a physical sewing pattern, the digital file and the confidence to make it again and again at home.
Location
- Johnnyland Studio, Mooball NSW (30 minutes from Byron bay & 30 minutes from Coolangatta). A beautiful studio surrounded by farmland.
Time
- 9am-12pm NSW
What you need to bring
- Sewing machine (if you need to borrow one please get in touch)
- Bobbin & thread (I have a selection of threads to chose from)
- Fabric (details are in the event info)
What's provided
- Elastic
- A selection of trims like binding and lace (you can get creative with these)
- The use of sewing tools like overlocker, iron, snips, unpicks, scissors, fabric markers, etc.
- Take home the sewing pattern with any alterations we have made together to make it a right fit for you
- Digital sewing pattern emailed to you
- Step by step booklet
- Coffee, tea, water and light snacks
